The screen changer is the core component ensuring consistency in a pelletizing line. Its function is to continuously filter out contaminants, such as carbonized particles and gels, from the polymer melt. By trapping these impurities, it protects downstream equipment and is fundamental to producing high-quality, defect-free pellets. This is achieved by forcing the melt through a fine mesh screen. Once a screen becomes clogged and causes a pressure increase, the system will trigger an alarm to prompt a manual screen change. This process ensures uninterrupted production and stable melt pressure for optimal product quality.
